In the Rio Grande Valley, six counties are under a Zika alert. The Texas Health Department recommends all pregnant women have Zika testing done if they present with two of four symptoms of the virus. The counties under alert are Hidalgo, Cameron, Webb, Willacy , Starr and Zapata.
