Two Weslaco residents will be in federal court tomorrow for their alleged involvement in a drug trafficking operation that began here, but with a reach far outside Texas.

Thirty-seven-year-old Santiago Martinez and 38-year-old Casimiro Bautista are accused of conspiring to transport over 1,000 kilograms of marijuana to Tennessee and Florida since July of 2001.

If convicted, the two face anywhere from 10 years to life in prison as well as a possible $10M fine.
