A driver in Cameron County accused of being under an influence during a hit-and-run and authorities say this isn’t her first time.

Harlingen police say 59-year-old, Judy Jam Elam is the driver that slammed into a pillar on the 1600 block of west Harrison Ave. Sunday night, and fled the scene.

Officers say she was intoxicated and in possession of cocaine, this is Elam’s third DWI charge.

She was charged and issued a $20,000 bond.
