A valley school district announcing a new fleet of transportation this rollout coming on the heels of a scary hazard surrounding multiple school bus fires.

Thirty-six state-of-the-art school buses now call Brownsville-ISD home equipped with monitoring cameras, and a satellite locator.
Back in October two Brownsville school buses caught on fire in the span of a week there weren’t any injuries, but officials aren’t taking any chances and want to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
School district officials add they put aside 6.4-million dollars of their budget towards this rollout and that this is the beginning of a 5-year initiative with those 36 eventually becoming 300 new units.
