City Mourns Passing of Commissioner

The city of McAllen is mourning a community leader with the passing of district 1 commissioner, Scott Crane. Fifty year old Commissioner Crane passed away Sunday afternoon, suffering a heart attack after running in the McAllen Marathon. According to an official statement, crane left the marathon after feeling some discomfort. Emergency personnel later responded to his home around 11 AM, transporting him to Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, where he was pronounced dead at 12:55 PM. Construction Begins for New Businesses in McAllen Convention Center Area

As the Valley continues to grow so does business and McAllen is next to experience renovations. A contracting company known as Simon property group plans to start building phase II of the company’s development near the McAllen Convention Center as early as this Spring.
