Two dead, One Injured After Shooting

This morning Harlingen police confirmed the death of a man who was allegedly involved in a standoff that went on for hours. Authorities Searching For Suspect In Auto-Pedestrian Accident

The Department of Public Safety is investigating a hit and run accident that left one man dead. On Thursday night at around 9 pm, DPS responded to an auto-pedestrian accident off of FM 2925 East Marshall Huff Road in Arroyo city. After arriving they discovered a male body lying partially on the main road and shoulder lane. The victim is identified as Billy Lee Briggs, a 67-year-old from Harlingen. Driver Could Face Steeper Charges After Pedestrian Dies

Authorities in Harlingen are considering more severe charges for a driver that ran over a pedestrian that died in the hospital. It was January 14th when authorities found a man on Ed Carey drive after being hit by a car.  The driver did stay on the scene, however, the man was arrested a little while later, under the suspicion of driving inebriated. 22 Icy Road Accidents Reported

Icy road conditions causing at least 22 accidents in Harlingen last night. It was between six in the afternoon and two in the morning that the dangerous road conditions on Expressway 77 led to several drivers losing control. Harlingen police together with the department of transportation closing off the intersection of Highways 77 and Highway 83 heading north, south and west.
