Arrests have been made in connection to a shooting at a McAllen smoke shop this weekend. The prime suspect is still at large.
Juanita Portales, Ernesto Elizondo the third and Rolando Martinez Junior have been charged with tampering with evidence in connection to Sunday’s shooting.
McAllen police say it happened at the “Puff N Stuff” smoke shop on the 66-hundred block of north 10th street.
A motive is still unclear. Authorities say a male victim sustained gunshot wounds. He is being treated at a local hospital and is expected to survive.
McAllen police are looking for Jorge Isaac Portales for aggravated assault. He is described as Hispanic, 38 years old, with brown hair and brown eyes, 6-feet 1-inch tall. Weighing around 190 pounds.
