A pursuit led Starr county HIDTA agents to a heavy load of narcotics.

An off-duty officer in Rio Grande City spotted the vehicle and contacted HIDTA authorities Friday evening.

Agents tried to stop the driver of a dark blue impala, however the suspect lost control, stopped and bailed out along with the passenger leaving behind a load of more than 300 pounds of marijuana. No arrests have been made.
