Power has been restored for thousands of AEP customers impacted by the cold front that rippled throughout area.
As of 7pm this evening, all power had been restored in Hidalgo and Cameron counties.
According to aep officials close to 9,000 customers were affected in the mid-Valley area this morning when power outages were reported starting at 7:30am.
Residents in Port Isabel had their power restored around 6pm when transmission lines were repaired.
