Police are releasing the identities of the woman and child killed Friday in Brownsville, during an act of family violence.
Meanwhile the man allegedly responsible for their death remains behind bars facing multiple charges including capital murder.
The incident occurred around Friday afternoon at the 23 hundred block of Frankfurt Street in Brownsville after a foul odor revealed two bodies in the back yard of the residence amongst piles of rubble and tall grass.
The bodies were identified as 45 year old Diana Ramos Pierce and 4 year old William Pierce.
That same afternoon, police arrested 41 year old Donald Edward Pierce after a short pursuit. Pierce is the husband to the female victim and father to the child.
Pierce was charged with two counts for capital murder, one count for evading arrest with a motor vehicle and one count for evading arrest on foot. He remains behind bars without a bond.
