For the first time the public and private sector in the city of Mission are coming together for the 12th annual toy drive. All this week Walgreen’s pharmacies will be receiving new, unopened toys to benefit low-income families across the valley.

The city of mission will be receiving these donations until Friday benefiting 450 families.

“The change this year is combining all the forces, all the departments coming together making this a bigger event and truly to come together and give a toy, a smile, to not only families but to children in the city and the surrounding areas,” explains martin Garza Jr. / Mission city manager.

The toy giveaway will take place on Friday at 4 pm at La Lomita park in Mission. If you wish to contribute you may drop a toy off at a participating Walgreens. For more information you may contact mission offices at (956) 584-5144.
