Motorcycle Safety awareness month is in full force and authorities want to make sure you “share the road” to prevent any accidents.

Mauricio Razo talked to man who almost lost his life in a motorcycle accident, he brings us the story tonight.

It’s been almost four years since Mario Salinas’ life changed forever… During the accident Mario lost his right arm and was in a coma.

Mario Salinas remembers the moments before the accident when he was riding his motorcycle and was hit by an oncoming car.

“Unfortunately she didn’t see me and she crossed right in front of me. I don’t remember it because i lost conscious and didn’t remember anything that happened that day…”

Mario was in coma for two months and when he woke up.

“I don’t have my shoulder they had to cut out the whole shoulder and part of the femur.”

Officials want to make sure accidents like these don’t happen again.

All motorists are reminded to safely “share the road” with motorcycles and to be extra alert to help keep motorcyclists safe. Motorcyclists are reminded to make themselves visible to other motorists.
