The suspect in last month’s deadly shooting at Los Angeles International Airport had a court appearance Wednesday. Paul Ciancia was ordered held without bond after saying he understood the charges against him.

Ciancia faces charges for killing a federal officer and commission of violence in an international airport. Officials say he walked up to the TSA checkpoint November 1-st and shot a TSA officer at point-blank range.

If convicted, he could face the death penalty or life in prison without parole.
