The Hidalgo County Head Start program held their eighth annual parent fair in McAllen today.
Over 60 local agencies attended the event to provide an array of services for head start parents.
Those included free health screenings, mini training sessions, workshops and free haircuts.
The event was meant to provide them with opportunities to network.
In addition, the hidalgo county’s sheriff department donated 250 turkeys to families in need.
The Head Start program provides services to almost 3,700 children.
