Five Criminally Charged following Fatal Shooting outside McAllen Convenience Store

New details in the fatal shooting in McAllen that left one man dead and five people arrested.

The fatal shooting happened outside this stripes convenience store, located on military highway and 10th street around 9 PM Sunday.

“There was a disturbance between 7 persons,” said Joel Morales, “and that resulted in the shooting death of one individual.”

According to the McAllen police department, 25-year-old Jesus Alejandro Cuevas is charged with murder for the shooting death of 22-year-old Moises Tamez. His bond is set at $600,000. 25-year-old César Lopez, 24-year-old Samantha Delgadillo and 30-year-old Angel Lopez are all charged with aggravated robbery. Their bonds are set at $500,000. And a 16-year-old minor is expected to be charged with aggravated assault and robbery.

Officials couldn’t tell us if they’re searching for additional suspects in the case.
