Elderly Couple Found Dead in McAllen Home
McAllen — An elderly couple is found dead inside their home yesterday. Police say the couple died from gunshot wounds.
McAllen police confirm the bodies were found by close friends of the couple. The 2400 hundred block of Swallow Avenue looks peaceful today, but last night, the scene was completely different.
After not hearing from the couple for a while, family friends reached out to police Friday–it wasn’t until Sunday when the bodies of Thomas and Janet were discovered. Preliminary investigations reveal Mr. Williams’ wounds appear to be self-inflicted. Raul Santiago lives across the street and saw as the bodies being taken out.
McAllen PD did not confirm a murder-suicide, but did say they are not looking at any other suspects. Santiago also told Fox 2 Mrs. Williams was fairly sick. Police have yet to confirm a motive. Investigators tell us they are waiting for autopsy results to determine how long the couple had been dead.
