Convicted Drug Trafficker, Kidnapper turned over to Mexican Authorities


A Mexican man convicted of heroin trafficking in the U.S. and aggravated kidnapping in his home country was turned over to Mexican authorities today by ICE.

41 year old, Arturo Alcala-Mendez flew in from Pennsylvania, and arrived in Brownsville where he was turned over to Mexican officials.

Following his drug conviction, enforcement and removal operations agents took Alcala Mendez into custody and began making final arrangements for his removal process last month.
