The south Texas head of our ports of entry is putting up his hat, after decades of service. Eugenio Garza Junior was at the Anzalduas International Bridge earlier today announcing his retirement.
Garza is director of operations for customs and border protection. Overseeing the operation of eight ports of entry from Brownsville to Del Rio.
He has some advice for the person who will fill his shoes.
“This area has a lot of offer focus on our imports and exports,” explains Eugenio Garza, director of operations, customs and border protection.
Garza will retire in January. He has served the south Texas community for 42 years.
