The inspections continue for the fleet of school buses at Brownsville Independent School District, following two very close calls.

The school buses are under inspection following two recent bus fires, less than a week a apart.

In both cases, dozens of students were on board but all were safely evacuated and school officials want to test their luck again.

Preliminary investigations indicate that electrical problems sparked the fires.

Officials add that $6.4M has been put towards new buses and renovations which will be fully complete within four to seven years.

They add they are changing suppliers.
