Lorena Ibarra

Lorena Ibarra is a co-anchor for the Valley’s Fox News  as well as a media reporter for our sister station Univision 48.

Her career in communications began at the age of 15 when she volunteered at a non-profit radio station (89.9 FM) in her hometown of Laredo, Texas  where she would go on to host a morning youth show.   Lorena graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Communications from Texas A & M International University.  She conducted her internship at Entravision Communications in Laredo, Texas later becoming a bilingual weather anchor for Fox 39 and Univision 27.

Soon after she became leading news anchor and producer for Fox 39 and co-anchor for Univision Laredo’s evening newscast. After nearly seven years she returned to radio as a co-host for Z93’s morning show Levantate Laredo.

She has recorded  several tv commercials and conducted entertainment interviews for both television and social media.  

She has participated at community events providing empowerment to women and youth.  Lorena’s hobbies include working out, reading, traveling and binge watching shows on Netflix.
