$24,000 in Jewelry Stolen from Port Isabel Homes

Over $24,000 worth of jewelry reported stolen from several homes in Port Isabel.

Authorities report a home on the 600 block of 1st Street was broken into on September 4. The suspect or suspects entered the residence, leaving with approximately $4,000 worth of jewelry.

On September 16, a residence on the 1800 block of North Shore was also broken into. This time, the suspects made off with about $20,000 worth of jewelry, including two Rolex watches.

In an effort to further the partnership between police and community, Port Isabel police would like to invite citizens to fill out the “anonymous tip” form on the city’s website when necessary.

Officials encourage residents to use this method to report any crimes, thefts, or comments they might have.
