TxDOT Reminds Drivers to “Share the Road”

So far four cyclists have died after being struck by vehicles and the Texas department of public safety reminds motorists to share the road.
Bicyclists have the same rights and responsibilities as other drivers.
As a bicyclist, you should obey all traffic laws, stop at red lights and stop signs, pay attention to lane markers, ride near a curb traveling in the same direction as traffic.
They should also use a light on the front and a red reflector or red light on the back of their bike while riding at night, as a driver, you also have certain responsibilities around bicyclists.
According to TxDot and the national highway traffic safety administration, 677 pedal cyclists died in 2011.
