Brownsville (KFXV) — Police arrested two women accused of prostitution.

According to a statement released by the department, during an investigation in downtown Brownsville Wednesday, two females identified as Shirley Mendoza and Maria Guadalupe Gomez-Gutierrez solicited and offered to engage in sex acts with undercover officers for money — both were charged and booked into the Cameron County jail.
