Making state headlines, a 63 year-old Texas man is found guilty of sexually assaulting a child, but he may never see a day in prison.

By law, Michael Wayne McIntosh, who’s known as ‘money mike’ should be facing up to 20 years in prison, but a Galveston County jury recommended that McIntosh spend ten years on probation and pay a ten-thousand dollar fine for his crimes. Prosecutors say he paid several girls between three-hundred to one-thousand dollars to spend time with him during the summer of 2013. Some of those girls were as young as 14 years-old. Defense attorneys called the girls ‘liars’ in court, saying they told McIntosh they were older than they actually were. McIntosh is facing additional criminal charges; among them are two more counts of sexual assault of a child. Prosecutors haven’t decided whether they will try McIntosh for those offenses.
