A valley superintendent has a message for parents in the valley after a middle school student took a kitchen knife to school. Superintendent, Dr. Ruben Alejandro of Weslaco tells Fox 2 news that although a student bringing a weapon to school doesn’t happen as frequent as people may think when it does consequences quickly take place. U.S. Marshals Arrest Weslaco Sex Offender

The U.S. Marshal’s announced the arrest of an alleged valley sex offender. The man identified as 43-year-old Evodio Ibarra-Torres, was wanted by the Weslaco police department for aggravated sexual assault and indecency with a child. Weslaco Home Robbery, Pursuit Suspects Charged

Robbery suspects that tried to make a run for it leading authorities on a high-speed chase this weekend in Hidalgo County. 47-year-old Jose Garcia, 35-year-old Ramon Garcia, 21-year-old Jorge Antonio Ramirez, and 28-year-old Rolando Saldana, were in a Hidalgo county courtroom this afternoon. Hidalgo county sheriffs say the groups were behind a robbery at a Weslaco home on Saturday when they were caught. Weslaco Officials May Face Charges For Unauthorized Meeting

Weslaco residents have filed a complaint against the city council after they say they were kicked out of an open meeting, a complaint that can lead to jail time. Residents in Weslaco are not happy after they were asked to leave during a city meeting that took place November 12th. Weslaco Residents Arrested For Drug Trafficking

Two Weslaco residents will be in federal court tomorrow for their alleged involvement in a drug trafficking operation that began here, but with a reach far outside Texas. Thirty-seven-year-old Santiago Martinez and 38-year-old Casimiro Bautista are accused of conspiring to transport over 1,000 kilograms of marijuana to Tennessee and Florida since July of 2001.
