One Dead, Several Injured in Two-Car Collision

In Palmview, a vehicle accident just a few hours ago, leaves one person dead and several injured. According to DPS a Toyota Corolla and a Dodge Ram pickup truck collided when the driver of the Toyota failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of Mile 7 and Brushline. That driver of the Toyota died at the scene. A passenger of that car and three passengers from the dodge were transported to hospital. The crash remains under investigation...

Toyota Breaks Ground on Texas Headquarters

A celebration was underway in Plano, Texas Tuesday as Toyota officials broke ground on a new North American headquarters. After completion in a couple years, the facility is expected to employ up to 4,000 people. Local and regional officials were on hand for the ceremony where children were invited to write wishes for the future on red tags and place them on trees that will be planted as a symbol of partnership in the area. Driver Involved in Fatal Hit and Run Located and Arrested

Police have now arrested the driver behind Thursday’s fatal hit and run. According to authorities, after fleeing police Thursday at 3:41 AM, 24 year old Noe Nunez-Nendez struck a Toyota Corolla at the intersection of Ed Carey and South Frontage road, killing the driver, 41 year old Vivian Sue Callaway. According to witnesses, Nunez-Mendez then fled the scene on foot. Harlingen police, Border Patrol and several other agencies assisted in locating the Mexican national, found in a field near Simmons road and Ed Carey Drive.
