Controversial Abortion Restrictions Reinstated In Texas

Three days after the decision from the Federal Judge in Austin, the two only abortion clinics in the Valley will have to stop providing that service. Overnight clinics in the Valley such as Whole Woman’s Health in McAllen and Reproductive Services in Harlingen will not be allowed to perform abortions. The new Texas law, which was scheduled to go into effect on Tuesday was ruled unconstitutional, claiming the law had no medical purpose. Food Stamp EBT Cards Working Again Following Glitch

Over a dozen states are getting some relief, including here in Texas, after a glitches prevented food stamp recipients from using debit-style “E-B-T” cards. Those cards were unable to be used in 17 states, from California, Michigan, Texas, to Ohio, meaning many shoppers were unable to get groceries. Man Found Dead Near Ware Road

DPS troopers are investigating the death of a McAllen man early this morning. 27 yr old James Edwin Vogel was found dead inside his vehicle in a canal near Ware Road North of Mile 17th. DPS officials tell Fox2 News they suspect Vogel might have been driving under the influence when somehow he lost control of his 2004 Chevy Silverado.
