Two Alleged Gang Members Arrested With Help of Gang Unit

Two suspected gang members affiliated with the Texas Chicano Brotherhood are now off the streets. They were targeted by investigators who were able to locate them outside Rio Grande City thanks in part by the San Juan Gang Unit.  Investigators serving arrest warrants capture 19-year-old Emmanuel Alexis Chapa in the community of Santa Cruz, and 28-year-old Ryan Villarreal in the community of Las Lomas. Known Gang Members Attempt to Make ‘Clean Getaway’ Stealing Hundreds of Dollars Worth of Laundry Detergent

Two known gang members are now behind bars for stealing hundreds of dollars worth of laundry detergent. Thirty-five year old Ismael Tovar Zavala and 24 year old José Ignacio Alanis, both members of the Texas Chicano Brotherhood gang, were arrested Monday in Edinburg after being linked to two different thefts, taking place at the Family Dollar Store located near Highway 107 and Val Verde Road.   MCALLEN – Police are still looking for a third suspect believed to have taken part in a murder in McAllen. The suspect is identified as 23 year old Christopher George Hernandez, affiliated with the Texas Chicano brotherhood gang. He is being sought for the murder of 26 year old Ryan Tyler Sewell.   The killing of 26-year-old Ryan Tyler Sewell led local and state agencies on a manhunt for three suspects tied to the violent crime, this morning authorities made a second arrest in the case. In the early morning hours on July 21st police found a body inside a burning vehicle parked outside an apartment complex located on the 3500 block of N. McColl Road.
