Starr County (KFXV) — Three juveniles have been arrested in connection to the disappearance, and now murder, of Chayse Olivarez.   We previously reported Olivarez went missing in late July.  Late friday, our sister station Univision 48 broke the news as the Starr District Attorney’s office announced three juveniles had been arrested in connection to Olivarez’ death — whose body was discovered in Roma.  One of the teens has been charged with tampering with evidence. Rio Grande Valley (KFXV) — Spring break is here and thousands of students look forward to having a good time with friends at their favorite destinations. Unfortunately, that good time often includes alcohol. “The message is the same. If you’re under 21, don’t drink. Weslaco (KFXV) — Officers responded to an alarm call at Weslaco Party Hall. It happened Friday, January 13, 2017 at about 1:51 am on 2803 West Business 83. Upon arrival, officers discovered a shattered front door. In the video, it shows a dark newer model suv in what appears to be a dodge durango or possibly dodge journey enter the parking lot. Police Search for Driver of Hit and Run, Killing One Teen

Harlingen (KFXV) — Police are searching for a driver who ran over 4 teens, killing one. The teen who died–is identified as 19 year old, Eden Arriaga Jr. Family memebers say arriaga and his friends were walking home after playing basketball in a park near Cottonwood and New Hampshire on Sunday. Study finds most teens vaping fruity flavors, not nicotine

NEW YORK (AP) — Health officials warn that electronic cigarettes and other vaping devices are poisoning kids with nicotine. But new research suggests that most teens aren’t vaping nicotine at all but using sweet and fruity flavors like strawberry, chocolate cake and bubble gum. Only a fraction of young vapers were inhaling nicotine, a nationwide survey showed.
