A Harlingen man is arrested, for allegedly shooting his wife and killing her. Tuesday morning, authorities responded to the home of Jessica Cortina after she was allegedly shot in the chest by her husband. It was around 12:30 in the morning, that the couple’s eldest son reported the shooting that took his mother’s life. Cortina was a well-known teacher at Wison Elementary School in Harlingen. Brownsville ISD Teacher Arrested for ‘Improper Relationship’

BROWNSVILLE (KFXV) — In Brownsville, a school teacher is behind bars tonight on a charge of improper relationship between educator and student. According to the BISD, Vicente Flores of the Brownsville Learning Academy was placed on administrative leave by the school district on February 15th, pending the results of the ongoing investigation. Former Edinburg ISD Teacher Accused of Injury to Child

EDINBURG (KFXV) — In District Court 398, closing arguments were held in the Elda Flores ase, a former Edinburg ISD teacher accused of causing injury to one of her former first grade student. Rene Guerra, former Hidalgo County District Attorney took the stand, recalling the case was declined by his administration in 2014.
