HIDALGO COUNTY (KFXV) — The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s office needs your help locating the family of a man who has been identified after being found dead in the Rio Grande River. Law enforcement identified Jose Luis Martinez – Chavarria through a DNA analysis. He was found dead in March of last year around 10:40 in the morning. The U.S. Border Patrol, and the Mission Fire Department, in coordination with the Sheriff’s Department recovered his body. Weslaco (KFXV) — Officers responded to an alarm call at Weslaco Party Hall. It happened Friday, January 13, 2017 at about 1:51 am on 2803 West Business 83. HIDALGO COUNTY (KFXV) — The victim found with several articles of clothing and even a tattoo that authorities are hoping will help identify him. Hidalgo County Sheriff deputies and Alamo firefighters responded to the Rio Grande River Tuesday to extract a man from the water. Twenty-one-year-old Juan Martin Garza Roque is described as 5′ 9″ tall, weighs 180 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. Man Faces Several Charges after Violently and Sexually Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend

Twenty-one year old José Luis Rodriguez was arrested on January 1st after his ex-girlfriend reported to police that he had threatened her with a gun, accusing her of having a new boyfriend. The victim pleaded with Rodriguez to put the gun down. When he did however, he allegedly grabbed a knife and attempted to remove a tattoo the victim had on her arm. He then took her to the hospital for treatment, only to sexually assault her upon returning to his apartment.
