EDINBURG (KFXV) — In Edinburg, a discussion sends a man to the hospital and the suspect faces charges. The suspect of shooting a man in the head was formally charged this afternoon. 30-year-old, Jose Alfredo Rios told the judge he did not mean to hurt 24-year-old Oscar Perez before being charged with attempted murder and tampering with evidence. His bond was set at a combined $350,000. According to Edinburg police, officers responded to the 900 block of Lovett Street where they found the victim. San Juan (KFXV) — Hector Espino went before a judge today. Who charged him with theft by deception, insurance fraud and tampering with identification numbers. Piece by piece is how– according to authorities– Hector Espino sold his truck after reporting it as stolen. Investigators say Espino made the report to police only to later make a claim with his insurance company. Weslaco (KFXV) — Two are arrested for possession of marijuana. It happened on the 600 block of South Border Street. These two were stopped for a traffic violation when police arrested them. 28 year old, Joseph Anthony Rodriguez and 29 year old, Matthew James Peterson were both charged for possession.
