Gamehaus Shooting Leaves One Dead

One person is dead following a shooting outside of hours ago.  A shooting at Gamehaus Gastropub located at 2109 West Nolana in McAllen leaves one person dead.  Shots were heard around 12:30 a.m. in the bar’s parking lot.  Patrons inside the bar at the time say they heard several shots fired.  The victims names have not yet been released this morning and police are not giving out any further details as this is an active investigation. Middle School Shooting Injures Two Students

Terror at a New Mexico school after a believed student opens fire injuring classmates and a faculty member. Authorities say it happened at Berrendo Middle School this morning. A 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were shot and airlifted to a hospital in Lubbock, Texas. Those students are in critical and serious condition respectively. A faculty member received minor injuries. They add all the students were bused to a nearby mall during the ordeal where their parents or guardians picked them up. Murderer Sentenced In 2009 Retaliation Shooting

In Cameron County, the gunman behind a retaliation murder of an innocent man will be spending nearly half-a-century behind bars. Randall Bolivar, 32 years old, has been sentenced to 45 years in prison for the shooting death of 30-year-old Aaron Castillo in 2009 after being found guilty yesterday. Prosecutors say Bolivar was confronting Castillo’s brother over a $500 drug debt when his brother fled. Bolivar shot and killed Castillo who very likely didn’t know what was going on. Drive-By Shooting Suspect Sentenced to 55 Yrs in 2012 Murder

A young man has been sentenced to age behind a cell, after being found guilty in the shooting death of a Valley high school graduate. 22-year-old Raul Trevino Lara was sentenced to 55 years behind bars Thursday night. Prosecutors say in October of 2012, he was inside a van that opened fire on a group of teenagers, killing 17-year-old Miguel Vasquez. Alleged Gunman Arrested in Point-Blank Shooting Murder

Police say the domino effect of arrests in the point-blank shooting of an Alton man, who was killed just inches away from his family, is now over. Authorities say a sixth and final suspect has been charged in the murder of 31-year-old Jose Luis Gonzalez. According to investigators, 26-year-old Ricardo Navarette Lozano is believed to be the trigger man. They say Navarette Lozano, A.K.A. “El Negro” fled to Mexico after the killing, and was detained this weekend trying to re-enter the U.S. at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge.
