BROWNSVILLE (KFXV) — After almost two years, a trial against Jorge Alberto Guajardo, who’s accused of taking part in a gang related murder that ended the life of a Brownsville teen, begins. After several hours, the jury heard testimonies from witnesses involved in the incident. 40 Years for San Benito Man Involved in Teen’s Death

SAN BENITO (KFXV) — A San Benito man received a 40 year sentence for the 2016 shooting death of a Mission teen. According to court records, Jonathan Alejandro Martinez accepted a plea deal, before jury selection took place. 22-year-old Martinez stood accused of the shooting death of Miguel Angel Alcala — a 17-year-old teenager. A second suspect — who is a minor — is also charged, and believed to have been the person pulling the trigger that took Alcala’s life.
