McALLEN (KFXV) — In McAllen, a 27-year-old man is headed to prison on child pornography charges. Investigators discovered, Jorge Trevino-Blanco’s computer received child porn through a peer-to-peer network online. Blanco admitted to exchanging the illegal files for four years. Agents seized two laptops, and an external hard drive containing 123 videos and 282 images of children from three to 12 years of age, engaged in sadistic and violent acts. Cameron County (KFXV) — The family of Abigail Estrada is still left with questions after Ruben Torres is sentenced to 18 years behind bars. For the death of their 13-year-old, nearly a decade ago. Former DEA Officer Sentenced to 300-Months in Prison

MCALLEN (KFXV) — Former DEA Task Force Officer, and Mission Police Department Investigator, Hector Mendez of San Juan, went before a federal judge in McAllen, and was handed a 300-month sentence today. Mendez was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute cocaine by a federal jury in July, after a six-day trial.
