Investigations continue after a man in the city of Primera is shot in the face this weekend. Police say the man responsible is 30-year-old Antonio Martín Ayala, a member of the ‘Texas Syndicate’ gang. The search is on for the driver and a passenger who fled the scene after pinning a teenage girl between two cars. It happened Saturday, just after midnight on the 2100 block of Mile 13 ½ in Weslaco.
