Car Chase Ends in Crash Investigated

PALMVIEW (KFXV) — The investigation of a car pursuit that ended in Palmview–this weekend–continues. As the Department of Public Safety confirms the chase began in Mission over Highway 83 and ended on Showers Street when the driver crashed against another vehicle on Main Street. Brooks County (KFXV) — The Texas Department of Public Safety made a seizure of marijuana weighing more than a ton. DPS is reporting their troopers stopped a commercial tractor trailer in Brooks County for a traffic violation. When a canine officer alerted the handler to unusual activity, troopers found 100 bundles of marijuana hidden inside the cargo hold. In total, the value of the illegal narcotics is estimated at more than 15 million dollars. Weslaco (KFXV) — In Weslaco, a 63-year-old woman dies after being hit by a driver who didn’t stop to help. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian crash that happened Sunday around 11 at night. on F.M. 1015, south of Mile 12 North Road, north of Weslaco. DPS says a suspect vehicle fled the scene, described as a gray passenger car, last seen traveling northbound on F.M. 1015. McAllen (KFXV) — Police need your help identifying a man wanted in connection with a robbery. The incident happened on the 2300 block of Lindberg Avenue. With the assistance of the Department of Public Safety, police released this sketch of the suspect. Described as a Hispanic male between 18 and 20 years old, with a slim build and a medium complexion. Harlingen Police respond to a fatal Collision

Harlingen (KFXV) — Cameron County Sheriff Department of Public Safety responded to a fatal crash intersection of Bass Boulevard and Business 83 shortly before 7 on the eleventh of April. Preliminary information revealed the driver of a vehicle was traveling Southbound on Bass Boulevard the driver struck a man walking on the road. The woman in the vehicle remained at the scene to give aid, the man however died at the scene. The victim has not been identified.
