Former Mailman Enters ‘Guilty’ Plea in Bribery Case

McAllen (KFXV) — Today former U.S. mailman, 43-year-old, Noe Olvera entered a “guilty” plea before a U.S. Federal judge. Olvera admitted to accepting one thousand dollars in exchange for addresses of postal ballot recipients, during the 2014 Hidalgo County Sheriff’s race. Olvera wore his official postal carrier uniform, while he drove an official vehicle on his route in Mission when he accepted the bribe. Edinburg Couple Arrested for Sex Trafficking

EDINBURG (KFXV) — An Edinburg couple has been convicted of sex trafficking, according to the U.S Attorney’s Office. Thirty-seven-year-old, Abelardo Gomez and 25-year-old, Cerene Ortiz pleaded guilty on “conspiring” to commit sex trafficking of minors. In March of last year, according to court documents, Gomez brought a 14 and 15-year-old female minor from Louisiana back to his home he shared with Ortiz in Edinburg. During a two-week period, investigators say the minors engaged in sex acts with numerous adult males after creating advertisements on Backpage.com. After abandoning the girls in April, the girls called 9-1-1 and reported the incident....

Man Found Guilty of Brutal Double Homicide

A grand jury in Starr County indicted Jesus Angel Rebollar for two counts of capital murder that sent shockwaves of disbelief throughout the community. We first reported in early November, the grisly murder of a father and his son, 41-year-old Hector Garcia and three year-old, Julian Garcia, in Rio Grande City near the intersection of Woods Brothers Road and Sagunada St. The victims were found, gunned down in their vehicle. H-E-B Shooter Enters ‘Not Guilty’ Plea

HIDALGO COUNTY (KFXV) — In Hidalgo County, Raul Lopez is facing murder charges . Lopez faces one count of murder, three counts of attempted murder, and one count of attempted capital murder of multiple persons. This stems from a fatal shooting at an H-E-B in Palmview that left 48-year-old, Mario Alberto Pulido dead, and three more injured. Surveillance video shows Lopez exited the grocery store, took a nine millimeter weapon from his vehicle, and shot approximately 15 rounds at the victims through a glass window, into the grocery store.
