Olmito (KFXV) — A chase for an inmate who escaped from authorities and then killed someone during a carjacking, ended in a shooting in San Benito. Authorities tell us the inmate whose been identified as Miguel Garcia died after a gunshot exchange with law enforcement. Olmito (KFXV) — The Brownsville Fire Department says after fighting the fire for over 36 hours, the blaze consumes over 300 acres of land. Olmito (KFXV) — On the intersection of FM 1732 and Carmen Avenue where fire units remain on the scene making sure this more than 24 hour fire is completely put out. Strong winds, shredded tires and brush were only several of the factors that help intensify and prolong this fire. Convenience Store Shooting Leaves One Injured

Olmito (KFXV) — Authorities continue investigating a shooting that left one person with gunshot wounds outside of a convenience store. Police say an argument between three suspects in the bathroom of the store, located on Hwy 77 and FM 511 is what lead to the shooting. It’s believed that the victim went to his car to get a gun, supposedly shooting towards the suspected aggressors. The victim was transported to a hospital where was treated for his gunshot wounds.
