Cameron County (KFXV) – Deputy Marin Hernandez testifies in his mother’s trial. Marissa Govea is facing charges for her involvement in an accident that caused the death of 37 year old Mary Tipton after she allegedly struck with her vehicle. In court deputy Hernandez says his mother told him she had struck an unknown object while driving on FM 803 one Rainy Night in February 2015. 123 Illegal Gambling Machines Seized; 15 Face Charges

McAllen (KFXV) —More than a dozen people are in police custody tonight after officials raided the gaming establishment they were operating, this afternoon. Eight vehicles, 123 gambling machines and cash, drugs and weapons were seized from the premises of the illegally operated business located on Dicker Road and 23rd Streets south of the city of McAllen. 15 establishment employees were also detained. The operation took place at approximately 3 o’clock today, but it took investigators several hours to finish processing the scene. SPI (KFXV) — Tens of thousands of vehicles crossing into South Padre Island, over the last couple of days. Making it one of the most popular destinations for spring breakers in the nation.
