Police Arrest Two Allegedly Stealing from Wal-Mart

Brownsville (KFXV) — Two are arrested and charged with theft after apparently trying to get away with merchandise from a Wal-Mart It happened on the 27 hundred block of Boca Chica St in Brownsville. The men were identified as 20 year old, Anthony Louis Arimendi and 19 year old, Samuel Vasquez. Officers were told by store employees– the “duo” took merchandise from the store and tried to get away in a white Nissan. Officers arrived and were able to intercept the two in the parking lot. In Pharr, police are searching for the person, or people, responsible for a drive by shooting. The incident took place on the 400 block West Juarez Street Wednesday night. Rollover Crash Involving Stolen Car, Driver Flees Scene

Police are investigating a rollover crash Wednesday night in McAllen, in which the driver fled the scene. The incident happened between Highway 107 and Mayberry Road shortly after 10 pm. Upon arrival authorities discovered a black Nissan truck that had just rolled over, however no individuals were present at the crash site. Two Harlingen residents now face drug charges after a routine traffic stop leads to the discovery of several different narcotics. 21 year old Stephen Ray Lara and 20 year old Yesenia Chavaria were detained Monday afternoon after officers stopped the pair for an expired vehicle registration sticker near the intersection of east grimes and Morgan boulevard in Harlingen.
