EDINBURG (KFXV) — Today a murder case returned to the Hidalgo County Courthouse. 24 -year-old, Jorge Guajardo, is accused of the murder of a teenager and three other charges of attempted murder after what police believe was a drive by shooting between rival gangs. Guajardo was traveling with another man identified as a member of the Tri-City Bombers, who pleaded guilty to the shooting and is currently serving a 35 year sentence. MCALLEN (KFXV) — After seven years, two men are behind bars for the 2010 murder of a McAllen man, shot dead inside a convenience store. According to the Pharr Police Department, over the weekend, they, with the assistance of U.S. Marshals arrested 47-year-old, Jaime Torres, and 26-year-old, Gerardo Ochoa, both from San Juan, in connection to the murder 30-year-old, Alberto Garcia. Police in Brownsville arrested one man for the May 14th murder of 69-year-old Gilda Cantellano, a home care worker. Investigators reported 43-year-old Armando Gerardo Tovar is behind bars for his alleged involvement in Cantellano’s murder.
