DONNA (KFXV) — A court date has been set for a fatal shooting that took place in Donna. According to court documents, Benito Hernandez stands accused of shooting Pedro Lopez Morales in December of last year near the frontage road. EDINBURG (KFXV) — Today a murder case returned to the Hidalgo County Courthouse. 24 -year-old, Jorge Guajardo, is accused of the murder of a teenager and three other charges of attempted murder after what police believe was a drive by shooting between rival gangs. Guajardo was traveling with another man identified as a member of the Tri-City Bombers, who pleaded guilty to the shooting and is currently serving a 35 year sentence. MCALLEN (KFXV) — After seven years, two men are behind bars for the 2010 murder of a McAllen man, shot dead inside a convenience store. According to the Pharr Police Department, over the weekend, they, with the assistance of U.S. Marshals arrested 47-year-old, Jaime Torres, and 26-year-old, Gerardo Ochoa, both from San Juan, in connection to the murder 30-year-old, Alberto Garcia. One in Custody for Murder of Home Health Care Worker

Police in Brownsville arrested one man for the May 14th murder of 69-year-old Gilda Cantellano, a home care worker. Investigators reported 43-year-old Armando Gerardo Tovar is behind bars for his alleged involvement in Cantellano’s murder. Officers executed a search warrant on murder charges after Cantellano’s daughter found her body inside her home on the 400 block of Jose Martin Boulevard.
