Judge Declares Mistrial in Gang Shooting after Witness Posts to Facebook

McAllen (KFXV) – Judge Kino Vasquez declared a mistrial in the case against Jorge Alberto Guajardo. According to the judge, 21-year-old Shaniqua Silva Publications on her Facebook profile about being in court and shared articles with her siblings, Jamel and Desiree Silva, both were also Witnesses in the case. Woman Claims Tooth Found in Food

MCALLEN (KFXV) — It’s a story you’ll only see on FOX — a McAllen woman is worried after a gruesome discovery in her food. A Valley woman, who prefers to be called “Lisa,” says she purchased food from Tortilleria Emmanuel, Monday morning but never expected the following to happen. Protesters Gather Outside Rep. Rinaldi’s Law Firm

McAllen (KFXV)– A group of protesters gathered outside a law firm to call for the firing of State Representative Rinaldi. Members with La Union del Pueblo Entero (LUPE) say Rinaldi needs to be held accountable for what they are calling a discriminatory behavior during the 85th legislative session. “This is what SB4 does; it gives permission for people to act on their hate, and on their racism, and that’s why we’re here to protest. One Detained After Shooting in Downtown McAllen

McAllen (KFXV) – In McAllen, a man is facing charges after a shooting Monday evening. Fifty-five-year-old Jose Marcos Gonzalez is facing three charges including delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and unlawfully carrying a weapon. Officers responded to 14th 1/2  and Lindberg Avenue after reports of shots fired. A preliminary investigation revealed a drug transaction had gone badly, and led to the shooting.
