RIO GRANDE CITY( KFXV) — City commissioners in Rio Grande City passed a motion authorizing the city’s attorney to draft a resolution against the state’s SB-4 law ahead of the September 1st implementation. Commissioners unanimously passed the motion, and were applauded by members of the community, many of whom showed up to urge the members to come out against the law. Protesters Gather Outside Rep. Rinaldi’s Law Firm

McAllen (KFXV)– A group of protesters gathered outside a law firm to call for the firing of State Representative Rinaldi. TEXAS (KFXV) — The lawsuits against the state of Texas continue to pile up as Senate Bill four (SB4) comes closer to becoming a law. Five entities are joining hands to challenge the recently signed ‘Show Me Your Papers’ bill. LUPE Issues Petition to Mission Mayor

MISSION (KFXV) — Grassroots organization LUPE gathered at Mission’s city hall to deliver a petition condemning the border wall to city council during a regularly scheduled meeting today. In a statement released by LUPE, the organization cites a recent Washington Post article where mayor Beto Salinas spoke out about it’s disapproval.
