Minutes after 6pm, Laredo police received a call indicating shots fired and a subject with a gun at the Sanchez Ochoa Park located on the 3200 block of Monterrey Avenue. Upon arrival, officers encountered the victim, 53 year old, Reynaldo Flores, laying on the basketball court with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead by medical examiners. Deputies arrest a woman for filing a false report, claiming she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted. Investigators report 24-year-old, Sandra Elizeth Zavala, told police a man abducted her near Mile 11 and a half North, and FM 493 in rural Donna, and sexually assaulted her while on her way home from a store. ELSA (KFXV) — Police in Elsa are investigating an alleged kidnapping and shooting that happened last night, and still searching for the man involved in both. The Elsa Police Department confirmed that a man allegedly had a rifle — presumed to be an airsoft rifle as investigators have been unable to find casings — outside of a store.
