BROWNSVILLE (KFXV) — A federal jury found one man guilty of importing methamphetamine. After a two day trial, the U.S. Attorney’s office is reporting that 55-year-old, Martin Araiza-Jacobo — a permanent resident — is guilty of several drug charges, including the importation of meth into the country. Arraiza-Jacobo attempted to cross through the gateway international bridge with the narcotics disguised as candies. Customs agents found 83 packages, containing over 5 kilograms of the drug. Thirty-year-old, Claudia Guerra went before a judge Monday morning after facing charges for having allegedly kidnapping the minor and taking her to Mexico. Edinburg (KFXV) — The trial continues for a man accused of killing one after a drug deal gone bad. There’s new evidence that could affect the jury’s verdict. Cranial x-rays showing the impact of gunshot wounds to the victim’s brain were admitted into court today. Cameron County (KFXV) — A man wanted for murder in Cameron County is behind bars. His arrest came 13 years after the crime. Brownsville (KFXV) – Agents at the Brownsville & Matamoros international bridge seized over $275,000 in alleged cocaine. According to officials a thirty-six-year-old Mexican citizen who lives in Brownsville attempted to smuggle 10 to 15 packages cocaine within his vehicle.
