Mexican Officials Deny Shooting at McAllen Couple

MCALLEN (KFXV) — We have an update to a story we reported on yesterday, on two MCALLEN residents who were injured in Reynosa during a shootout between federal officials and armed criminals. According to Mexican news outlets, Luis Alfredo Aleman and his wife, Alejandra Aleman were injured while shopping. Both are now back in the United States. Fox News spoke to family members who declined an on-camera interview, and said although Alejandra did sustain minor injuries, she is mostly frightened by the situation. Cameron County (KFXV) – Deputy Marin Hernandez testifies in his mother’s trial. Marissa Govea is facing charges for her involvement in an accident that caused the death of 37 year old Mary Tipton after she allegedly struck with her vehicle. In court deputy Hernandez says his mother told him she had struck an unknown object while driving on FM 803 one Rainy Night in February 2015. Victim in Spring Break Auto-Ped Dies

South Padre Island (KFXV) – An update on an auto pedestrian accident the left five victims injured. Authorities reported that one of the victims identified as twenty-year-old Los Fresnos native Maria Selena Patino died of her injuries sustained when Daisy Joy Decker of Sugar Land Texas drove into the crowd. The victims range from ages of 16 to 22. The suspect responsible for the accident 20 year old Decker fled the scene. South Padre Island, (KFXV) — Authorities are investigating several incidents that took place last night. One includes a road accident that left at least two people in critical condition. Two women are in police custody tonight in connection to an auto pedestrian accident that left several people injured. The accident happened just after midnight on the 4200 block of Gulf Boulevard. FRONTON (KFXV) — We first reported on a shooting near Fronton, in western Starr County, last night that left two injured, and one dead. More details have been released.
