McAllen (KFXV) — More than a dozen suspected undocumented immigrants were arrested. Multiple law enforcement agents raided a home in North McAllen, prompting the temporary lock-down of two schools less than a mile away. McAllen police, Hidalgo County Sheriff’s deputies and Border Patrol agents searched the residence at the 3000 block of Loyola Avenue this morning. Human Smuggler Goes Before Judge

HIDALGO COUNTY (KFXV) — The driver of a moving truck with 19 undocumented people and fled from police. Wednesday he went before a court. He’s identified as Roel Eduardo Coronel who received three charges for human trafficking, evading arrest in a vehicle and on foot. The judged gave the 25-year-old a $205,000 bond. Police say they attempted to stop Coronel after he left a home in Mission in that U-Haul truck. He ended up on Jordan Street in McAllen. Federal Agencies Open New Detention Center in Donna

Donna (KFXV) — Federal agencies came together today for the opening of a new detention center for illegal immigrants. The facility will house up to 500 people and officials say they will expand if necessary.
