A Business Engulfed In Flames This Afternoon In Hidalgo County.

EDINBURG – Those flames now sparking questions about the legitimacy of the establishment and if they are following county codes. It happened at around 3:30 p.m. along FM 493 and Roger Road. Initial reports were that an explosion caused the blaze. Former Candidate Robert Maldonado Makes Bond On Money Laundering Charges

A former Hidalgo County candidate was released on bond for money laundering charges. Robert Ricardo “Bobby” Maldonado was issued a $200,000 bond after being held for a week in federal custody. Maldonado was initially arrested in February 2012 in Victoria, Texas after DPS troopers found over $1M in cash in the back of his vehicle but it was not until last week when he was charged.
