Former Candidate Robert Maldonado Makes Bond On Money Laundering Charges

A former Hidalgo County candidate was released on bond for money laundering charges. Robert Ricardo “Bobby” Maldonado was issued a $200,000 bond after being held for a week in federal custody. Maldonado was initially arrested in February 2012 in Victoria, Texas after DPS troopers found over $1M in cash in the back of his vehicle but it was not until last week when he was charged. Well it’s official! Hidalgo Commissioners Court officially proclaimed this October 2013 as Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Hidalgo County.
