Early this morning a man led authorities in San Benito in a car pursuit that ran thru several cities.The chase beginning after the unidentified suspect failed to stop for a traffic violation. Sandbags, School Closing and additional preparation information

Anyone in Cameron County who still need to pick up sandbags, you may do so at the following locations. In most cases, an id or utility bill is required. In Harlingen, you can pick up sandbags between 8am and 5pm, weather permitting, at public works warehouse. Limit is 6. Two Facing Charges For Assaulting Each Other

Harlingen (KFXV) — We move to Harlingen now where police placed two men under arrest after responding to a disturbance on the 600 block of North Eye Street.   According to Harlingen Police, an unidentified male suspect — with injuries to his face — told police he’d been assaulted by a second male.  Other officers arriving at the scene, discovered the second male in the area, bleeding from a stab wound to his abdomen.  Investigators learned that the men had assaulted each other, and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.   One has been charged for aggravated...

Harlingen (KFXV) — Harlingen police arrested 16 individuals during a large-scale sex trade investigation conducted over the weekend.. According to the investigators, over two nights –undercover officers conducted an operation in the Gutierrez Park area who either solicited or agreed to engage in sex acts in exchange for money. The individuals — ranging in ages from 22 to 74 — were identified as 15 men and one woman. It’s been three days since his family last heard from him. 62-year-old, Ernesto Gonzales was to meet his sister outside his law firm, but Gonzales never showed up. Harlingen police asking the community to help find Ernesto Gonzales after his sister reported not being able to contact him. They were to meet at his office in the 1600 block of South “F” Street.
